Celeste (Lok Io) Wong graduated with a B.Arch degree at Virginia Tech’s College of Architecture and Urban Studies. She realized towards the end of completing her Architecture degree in 2022 that she wanted to pivot careers.

Born in Macau, her family and her now live in the Bay in California. Having been raised in China and attended an international school during her earlier educational years and having broad traveling experiences and opportunities, Celeste has been exposed to many different cultures around the world. She is very passionate about traveling and seeing the world since she believes strongly that through seeing and gaining first hand experience is the key to learning.  

Having been raised abroad along with the number of travel opportunities she’s had, she has been exposed to diverse cultures and people. This has allowed her to learn quickly and easily adapt to changes. Such experiences have also expanded and grown her creativity - from photographing architecture to using content creation as a means of self-expression. This has translated from a personal passion into a professional space.

Currently, She is the Social Media Lead at Community and Content Marketing. Aside from her social media roles, she is also the founder of ELXR Beauty, a small business that sells hand-painted press-on nails and lashes, and a part-time content creator. What she enjoys most about her role as a small business owner and social media strategist is that she is learning and growing every day. With an ever-growing social media space, there is always so much to learn - from content strategizing to copywriting to building influencer relationships. Most importantly, she loves that she can creatively grow and challenge herself daily.

She recently completed her certificate through COOP Careers as a Digital Marketing Apprentice. She is excited to learn and continuously grow in this professional space and is always open to new opportunities to gain more knowledge about the digital marketing space!
